NOTE: It is NOT necessary for your guests to read this instruction sheet in order to operate the jukebox. It is intended ONLY for the person in charge.
The Juke Box is on "Free Play", requiring no money inserted to play songs. Song selection is made simply by pressing the 3 digit selection number corresponding to the song desired into the keypad on the front of the jukebox. Up to 100 songs may be selected in advance which will be played in the order selected. If there are songs listed which you did not select, they're in addition to yours, because they are on the flip side of your selections.
The On/Off switch, VOLUME control knob, REJECT button, and CLEAR button are all located on the rear of the Juke Box:
The VOLUME level should be set to your taste, keeping in mind that higher volume tends to encourage dancing, while excessive volume can be annoying. Don't make the mistake of setting the volume too low.
The REJECT button is used to instantly stop a record from playing and go on to the next selection. It can be used for records that skip or get stuck, or just to cancel a selection you don't want.
The CLEAR button is used to cancel all selections which have been entered but have not yet played. This may be done when a special song is desired without waiting for all other selections to play first, such as "Happy Birthday" when the guest of honor arrives, or when you just wish to "start over". All selections will be cleared except the one actually playing at the time, which can be stopped by pressing the REJECT button.
HINT: Low room lighting encourages dancing!
Microphone Option: If you have requested a microphone, it is located on a clip-holder on the back of the jukebox. It has its own volume control knob, and therefore, the music volume on the jukebox may be lowered while using the microphone if you wish. Keep in mind that you should stand BESIDE the Juke Box to minimize any high frequency feedback. Standing in front greatly contributes to this annoying feedback, as will an excessive volume setting. Hold the microphone very close to your mouth, press the button, speak slowly and clearly, for best results.
Outdoor Use: The jukebox may be used outdoors with the following restrictions.... 1)Cannot be placed in direct sunlight. 2) Must be placed near an entrance to shelter in case of rain. 3)Must be stored indoors overnight.
If it is necessary to move the jukebox, do so slowly and very gently, especially on floors or surfaces which are not smooth, and do not move it while it is playing a record. Once it is set up, the records and record changing mechanism are not locked in place, and may shift if moved.
After the party is over, PLEASE press the CLEAR and REJECT buttons then wait 15 seconds before turning the power OFF. This way, the Jukebox is not shut off in the middle of playing a record.
If you encounter records that skip or are of poor sound quality, we appreciate if you let us know. Our customers are our only source of feedback on this.
