This is a genuine commercial CD/digital jukebox, not a wallbox, table top model, or computer. It comes with 250 watts of power, more than enough power for your home, hall, banquet room, or back yard, but of course you control the volume. These jukeboxes come with ALL of the approximately 1400 songs by over 600 artists in our catalog from the 40s to the present. These are the top songs, not just albums and filler songs by certain artists, as you might find elsewhere. All songs are listed in the jukebox sorted by the year that the songs were popular, so it is easy for you and your guests to find and simply press in the numbers to play the music that they like. There are many types of music including Big Band, Oldies, Country, Rock, Pop, Rap, specialty dances, and more... If you need to limit the type of music at your party, such as for oldies parties or class reunions, don’t rule out the nostalgia of 45RPM jukeboxes, but if you need variety, or a lot of current and recent music at your party, a CD/digital jukebox rental is probably the way to go. * mp3 player: If you have some special songs which you would like to play at your party but are not in our song catalog, let us know in advance and you can play songs from your mp3 player through the jukebox. Actually you could play songs through the jukebox from your mp3 player all night long but for most parties we strongly recommend against that. One of the advantages of having a jukebox is the interactive feature, allowing all of your guests to easily be involved in choosing and playing songs, and our songs are the most popular songs over the years to satisfy everyone at your party, older, young, or in between. Mp3 player songs would be controlled and played by the owner of the mp3 player, and as you can imagine, will reflect the taste of that person rather than the tastes of your guests in general. Important! If using an mp3 player, please be advised that there are many songs with foul language and lyrics inappropriate for your party, that someone could have on an mp3 player. These powerful 45rpm stereo jukeboxes sound great at any party, but are especially suited for birthdays, anniversaries, class reunions, etc., where the nostalgia factor can be a nice added touch. You pick the exact songs you want from our extensive catalog of over 1300 of the most popular songs from the 30s up to recent. And yes, they made current 45s until 2006. You choose any 80 songs you want from the catalog. When combined with popular ‘flip sides’, your guests will have about 120 songs to choose from during the party, which is more than 7 hours of music if you play every song once (of course you can play each song as many times as you like). BEWARE of competitors who may use this We no longer have this type of jukebox rental available. This style is known as a ‘Wallbox', and it is NOT a traditional console model jukebox, as it is designed to be mounted permanently on a wall, with wires running to separate speakers. Competitors may use this smaller model because it is smaller and more portable, and easier for the deliveryman to transport. As you can see in the picture, when this type of jukebox is placed on the floor rather than mounted on the wall as intended, the title display and selection keypad are so low to the floor that it is very inconvenient for your guests to use. Also, it is not easily moved if necessary. Don't be fooled - Our competitors may use this smaller model because it is easy to transport, and they can keep their price low, but at Jukebox John's we no longer use it because we find that our customers would rather have a traditional console model jukebox, rather than one that looks out of place, and very inconvenient for guests to use.
Some competitors may simply offer a computer system with separate speakers and amplifier attached. This is not a jukebox, and as you might imagine, choosing and playing songs from a computer may not be so easy and intuitive for some or all of your guests, as it would be using a real jukebox. It may come with more songs, but 90% of them are just filler songs and album cuts, which most or all of your guests probably don't even know. If you think about it, do you really want your guests standing around this computer spending time choosing from thousands of less popular songs? If you do the math, during a 4 hour party you will have time to play maybe 65 songs. Wouldn't you rather have those songs chosen from a list of 1400 of the most popular songs that all your guests will enjoy? Rather than the individual tastes that are encouraged by the huge list?
